James M. Mort Sr.

He was born Dec. 18, 1942, in Lewistown.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Strickland; and his siblings. He was the last of his immediate family.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy A. Mort, of Lewistown; children, James M. Mort Jr., of Georgia, Carol Mort, of Lewistown, and Michael Mort, of Lewistown; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

James was a Lewistown High School graduate, Class of 1961.

Earlier in life, he was a truck driver. He also did scrap metal recycling for a number of years.

He enjoyed going hunting, fishing, and watching racing.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
