Glenda N. Harbst

Born Aug. 1, 1932, in Yeagertown, she was a daughter of the late J. Clyde and Grace E. (Fisher) Randolph.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, John H. Harbst, who passed on April 8, 2018; children, Sherise Y. Pelizzari, and Martin K. Harbst; siblings, Shirley M. Baker, and David C. Randolph; and a grandson, Brett Pelizzari.

She is survived by her son, Dwain K. Harbst and companion, Terri Kline, of Altoona; grandchildren, Gina Horn, Nathan Harbst, Trevor Harbst, Adeena Hollen; and six great grandchildren; siblings, Joyce A. Wagner, of McKeesport, Gerald C. Randolph, of Colorado, and Larry D. Randolph, of Lewistown.

Glenda was a member of the Ellen Chapel Church, Lewistown Hospital Nurses Alumni, and a former member of the Fort Granville Grange.

She was a Derry Township High School graduate, Class of 1950, and a graduate of Lewistown School of Nursing, Class of 1953.

Glenda worked as a registered nurse for over 30 years at the Lewistown Hospital, retiring in 1986.

She enjoyed traveling and going camping, reading, and going on walks with her brother Dave.

A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Ave., Burnham, with a funeral service to follow at 11 am, with Pastor Mark Hill officiating.

Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
