Grace Phyllis (Welker) Gable

She was born on Sept. 13, 1933, to the late Henry B. and Stella (Howerter) Welker, and will be buried beside them in the Lutheran Church Cemetery in Hegins, PA.

Grace is survived by her sons, Kenneth Gable, of Burnham, and James Gable, of Lewistown. She also leaves behind a sister, Gloria Kovach, of Morristown, NJ, and her children, Lisa Hackett and Steven Kovach.

Grace loved to bake cookies; her favorites were sugar cookies and peach cookies. She was employed as an LPN, and served as a visiting nurse who befriended many patients and her co-workers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 Scenery Drive, State College, PA 16801, or R.O.F.F., PO Box 6, Lewistown PA 17044. She loved her pets, Saphire, her rescue dog, and her cat, Dusty.

Arrangements have been entrusted to King-Barr Funeral Home LLC, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
