David P. Hampton
David P. Hampton, 65, a longtime resident of Juniata County, entered into rest April 18, 2023, in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born April 20, 1957, in Lack Township, he was a son of the late Dale M. and Catherine N. (Dutrey) Hampton.
Dave graduated from Juniata High School in 1975 and was employed at the fish hatchery for the Pennsylvania Fish Commission in Thompsontown. After that, he worked for Dale S. Hampton Auto Body Repair.
He enjoyed gardening and hunting and in his younger days was an avid coon hunter.
He is survived by a daughter, Darla J. Vawn and her husband, Daniel, of East Waterford and three granddaughters, Lauren, Caitlen and Beca Vawn.
Also surviving are three brothers and three sisters, Dale Hampton and Dena Hampton, of East Waterford and Daniel Hampton, of Mifflin, Dawn Hampton, of Shippensburg, Dina Hampton and her companion, Brian Clouser, of East Waterford, and Deric Hampton and his wife, Natasha, of East Waterford.
Additional survivors include nine nieces and nephews, seven great nieces and nephews, an uncle, John Hampton of Chambersburg and an aunt, Beatrice Trego of East Waterford and many cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing for Dave on Friday, April 21, 2023, between 6 to 8 p.m. in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, PA. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
