Marvin H. ‘Sox’ Bowersox Jr.
Marvin H. “Sox” Bowersox Jr., 77, of Granville, passed away at home on March 1, 2023, surrounded by his family.
Born on June 23, 1945, in Rockville, he was the son of the late Marvin and Verna Bowersox and late brothers Gary Sr. and Warren Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey (McKnight) Bowersox, his son Bret and wife, Kathy, and granddaughter, Rebekah, his son, Christopher, and wife, Bobbie, grandsons, Nic, Christopher, and Devin and fiance Amanda, and great granddaughter, Brynlee, his daughter Heather, and many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Marvin was an Army veteran and lived a life in service to others with a contagious smile, and quick wit that kept everyone laughing. Even in his last days, he found humor and peace in the hardest times.
He was a strong, loving, dedicated father and husband, a friend to everyone who knew him and was blessed with many bike, music, travel and church friends.
No services will be held per his wishes but a celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at the Lewistown Community Center, 108 Montgomery Ave, Lewistown, at the Rec Park.
King-Barr Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
