Barbara J. ‘Barb’ Dobson
Barbara J. “Barb” Dobson, 53, of Milroy, entered eternal rest on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023, at her home with her loving family by her side.
Barb was born on Feb. 28, 1969, in Lewistown, a daughter of the late James Clifford and Sara Jane (Colvin) Colyer, Sr.
On Dec. 30, 1991, Barb married her husband, Robert L. (Bobby) Dobson, sharing 31 years of marriage.
She was a 1988 graduate of Lewistown High School. Barb’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with and loving her family and her precious dog, Molly. She also enjoyed being a homemaker and babysitting her grandsons.
Barb is survived by her husband, Bobby; son, Robert J. “RJ” Dobson and his fiancée, Sheyanne Weader; daughter, Casey M. Dobson; two grandsons, Kolton H. Dobson and Rustin Lee Rice; sisters, Emma Harshbarger and Deb Colyer; brothers, Steve Colyer, Homer Colyer, Joe Colyer, and Randy Colyer; and her precious dog, Molly.
She is predeceased by her parents; brothers, John Colyer, James, Colyer, Jr., and Fred Colyer in infancy; and sisters, Pat Sellers and Cathy Hockenberry.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Salem United Methodist Church, 3437 New Lancaster Valley Road, Milroy, PA 17063, with Pastor Dale Benner officiating.
Interment will immediately follow in the adjoining Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery.
