Homeschooled duo to perform

BELLEVILLE — The Buffalo Mountain Bluegrass band will perform at Watts Memorial United Methodist Church in Belleville fron 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 19. The event will be held inside if there is inclement weather. The band consists of home schooled sibling duo, Autumn and Canyon Moore. They have been performing music styles, including Bluegrass, Gospel, Civil War, Patriotic, Country, Irish and Scottish together since 2008. Building walls, lifting spirits

McALISTERVILLE — The congregation of Bunkertown Church of the Brethren came together this summer to build a wall that will be used to construct a home for a family in need. The wall will make a trek to West Point, Georgia with a hand full of local missionaries in October, where the house will be completed. The mission is through the Chattahoochee Fuller Center, part of a nationwide nonprofit that uses volunteers to build homes to fill a range of needs.
