Dirt bike driver jailed, charged with fleeing LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers on patrol along South Main Street in Lewistown at 11:44 p.m. Aug. 6 tried stopping a black electric dirt bike carrying two people, according to a release issued on Thursday. The bike had no pedals, wasn’t registered and the driver lacked eye protection. After making eye contact with an officer, the driver fled north, attempted to cut through a parking lot and travel up a set of stairs toward Mill Street, then got stuck. LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Police in Kentucky said one person was killed and four others were injured in a shooting at a park Saturday evening. Lexington police officers responded just before 7 p.m. to a report of shots fired and found five victims, according to a department statement. One person was declared dead at a hospital while the other four were believed to have non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
