The award was presented during a chamber dinner and ceremony held May 13 in Mifflintown. From staff reports STATE COLLEGE — A section of Beaver Avenue in State College will be closed beginning June 8 to allow for construction activities related to a residential building project, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. PennDOT said Route 26 (Beaver Avenue) will be closed between Atherton Street and Burrowes Street starting Monday, June 8, as a crane is staged on the roadway for the project.
