Nearly half of American voters blame wars and conflicts for elevated gas prices, and two thirds say fuel costs will influence their vote in November, a new national poll finds. U.S. states and territories made a collective $10 billion in improper payments to SNAP recipients nationwide in fiscal year 2025, the U.S. Department of Agriculture reports. LEWISTOWN — A Burnham man is facing 144 felony charges after investigators alleged a home surveillance system captured nude images of his 16-year-old relative that were later recovered during a forensic examination of his cellphone. Juniata County man killed in pedestrian crash

From staff reports MIFFLINTOWN — A 74-year-old Juniata County man died after being struck by a vehicle while crossing William Penn Highway on Wednesday night, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Joseph Barrick, of Mifflintown, was struck at approximately 9:13 p.m. while in the roadway, according to state police at Lewistown. Police said the driver, a 19-year-old woman operating a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer, attempted to swerve to avoid Barrick but was unable to avoid the collision.
