USDA announces 2022 Census of Agriculture

HARRISBURG — The United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) will release the 2022 Census of Agriculture data on Feb. 13, 2024. NASS concluded the data collection this summer with a preliminary national return rate of 61%. The preliminary return rate in Pennsylvania is 63%. The ag census, conducted once every five years, was mailed to more than 66,000 producers across Pennsylvania late last year. PHILADELPHIA — Musicians of the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Philadelphia Orchestra Association have ratified a collective bargaining agreement calling for minimum salaries to increase by 15.8% over three years. The deal announced Saturday night with Local 77 of the American Federation of Musicians covers Sept. 11 this year through Sept. 13, 2026. State leads $10M settlement with ACI Worldwide for unauthorized withdrawals

HARRISBURG — Attorney General Michelle Henry joined a coalition of 50 Attorneys General announcing a $10 million settlement with ACI Worldwide, a payment processor whose testing error in 2021 resulted in unauthorized withdrawals, and attempted withdrawals, of more than $2 billion from mortgage holders. ACI was a third-party vendor for Nationstar Mortgage (known publicly as Mr. Cooper) when the withdrawals happened in April 2021.
