$11M available for EV charging stations in central Pennsylvania

STATE COLLEGE — Local counties are among more than two dozen counties eligible for a new round of federal funding aimed at expanding public electric vehicle charging stations in central Pennsylvania. The state announced Monday that $11 million will be made available for projects in the central region through the Community Charging phase of the federal National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program. Carlisle couple indicted on federal election charges

HARRISBURG — A Carlisle husband and wife have been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges stemming from allegations that the wife, who is not a U.S. citizen, voted in the 2024 election, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Thomas Holtzman, 68, and his wife, Marisol Guzman, 50, both of Carlisle, were charged in the federal indictment announced Friday. 16 downtown State College properties receive façade grants

STATE COLLEGE — Sixteen downtown State College businesses and properties will receive funding for façade improvements through a state-supported grant program, the Downtown State College Improvement District announced. The projects are being supported through the district’s Main Street Matters Façade Improvement Grant Program, which received an $80,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. Woman arrested on warrant; police report drugs found LEWISTOWN — A woman was taken into custody on an active warrant Aug. 31 during an incident in which police reported finding suspected methamphetamine and THC spray. According to a Lewistown Police Department release issued Thursday, Marylee E.
