VA awards nearly $2 million for veteran suicide prevention in Pennsylvania

ALTOONA — Three Pennsylvania community organizations will share nearly $2 million in federal funding to expand suicide-prevention services for veterans. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs awarded $1.975 million through the Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program. HARRISBURG — Pennsylvania fire, rescue and emergency medical services organizations may apply for a share of $250,000 to help prepare personnel to respond to emergencies involving unconventional gas wells.
