Woman injured in vehicle crash

MIFFLINTOWN — On Thursday, March 5, officers from Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a vehicle crash around 8 a.m. on Industrial Park Road.

According to the police report, officers on the scene determined that the crash occurred due to Janet Conn, 72, of Port Royal, leaving the road for an unknown reason, ultimately crashing her 2024 Honda CRV into a tree causing disabling damage.

Conn sustained unknown injuries and was transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital by CJEMS. Gray’s Towing assisted on the scene.

Police investigate alleged theft

MIFFLINTOWN — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown were notified on Sunday, March 8 around 4:20 p.m. by a 73-year-old Mifflintown woman claiming that six transactions had been made from her account totaling $2,050. Officers are investigating.

McVeytown man arrested for DUI

MCVEYTOWN — According to a police report, officers from Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown conducted a traffic stop on a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu for a traffic violation on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at around 7 p.m. Officers found the driver David Stoltzfus, 41, of McVeytown, was under the influence of alcohol and arrested Stoltzfus.
