LEWISTOWN — Geisinger will host a free community document shredding event from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday, April 16, at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.

The event, held in observance of Earth Day, invites residents to bring confidential personal or professional documents — including bank statements, credit card bills and tax forms — for secure on-site shredding and recycling.

Participants are limited to three boxes each. Non-paper waste and garbage will not be accepted.

Geisinger is offering similar events at locations across northeastern and central Pennsylvania throughout April. Other nearby events include:

April 7 — Geisinger Healthplex State College, Port Matilda, 7 to 11 a.m.

April 14 — Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital, Jersey Shore, 7 to 11 a.m.

April 17 — Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital, Coal Township, 7 to 11 a.m.

April 20 — Geisinger Medical Center Muncy, Muncy, 7 to 11 a.m.

April 21 — Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital, Bloomsburg, 7 to 11 a.m.
