From staff reports
LEWISTOWN — The Downtown Discovery Easter Egg Hunt Contest continues through Monday, April 6. Children ages 3 to 11 are challenged to find all 34 brightly colored cardboard eggs, including three new eggs designed by local artists Jim Shannon, Lillah Cherry, and Vanessa Barron. The eggs are hidden in storefronts and upper-floor windows throughout Downtown Lewistown.
Entry forms are available on the porch of the Historic Courthouse, at participating businesses, and via download from the Downtown Discovery Contest Facebook page. Schools in the area will also distribute entry forms to students.
To participate, contestants match the number on each egg with the name of the business where it is located. Correct entries will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win more than 60 prizes donated by local businesses across Mifflin County. Completed forms should be returned to the mailbox on the front porch of the Historic Courthouse.
All entries must be submitted by Monday, April 6 to be eligible. For more information, visit the contest Facebook page or email discoverycontest@mifflincounty.us.
