Three arrested after standoff at Huntingdon County residence
From staff reports
ROBERTSDALE — Three people with active arrest warrants were taken into custody Wednesday following a police standoff at a Huntingdon County home.
On Feb. 11, Pennsylvania State Police at Huntingdon were serving warrants in Robertsdale when two individuals were spotted at a residence known to be associated with outstanding warrants, according to a police report.
Troopers attempted to take the individuals into custody when one man fled the scene. He was apprehended after a brief foot chase. A second person also attempted to flee before retreating inside the home.
Police established a perimeter around the residence. The second individual later exited the home and was taken into custody.
During the incident, troopers learned a third person was hiding in the basement. Due to potential safety risks, including the possibility of weapons, the Special Emergency Response Team was called to assist.
As the team arrived, the third individual exited the home and attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended, police said.
The names of those arrested were not released. All three were transported to the Huntingdon County Jail on their warrants. Additional charges are pending.
