Police investigate stolen check
RICHFIELD — On Tuesday Feb. 24, Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a report of theft around 12:30 p.m.
Once on scene at a residence on Snyder Street, Monroe Township, the victim, Linda Corwin, 73, of Richfield, reported that a check was stolen out of the mail and rewritten to an unknown person. Officers are still investigating.
Teen cited when vehicle strikes pole
LEWISTOWN — Officers of Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a vehicle crash on Friday Feb. 13 around 9 a.m. on Back Maitland Road, Decatur Township resulting in a teenager being charged.
The report states that a 16-year-old male of McClure was traveling west on Back Maitland Road when the passenger side tires of the 2010 Dodge Ram came into contact with snow/soft gravel on the side of the road causing the vehicle to slide off the roadway.
The vehicle struck into a utility pole before going down into a ditch where it remained until it was towed from the scene. The driver was taken to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital for a medical evaluation. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Male charged with possession
LEWISTOWN — A 23-year-old Yeagertown man was charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia after officers with Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown conducted a traffic stop on his vehicle Monday, Feb 16.
According to the report the male was driving a gray 2015 Volkswagen Jetta on Winding Lane, Derry Township, when he was pulled over.
