LEWISTOWN — Of course, everybody is ready for Valentine’s Day. After all, it’s on Saturday, which is right around the corner.
What? No dinner reservations. C’mon? No flowers. Say what? Forgot the boxed chocolates. What are you doing? Well, maybe you have time to check these things to do, which are on the upcoming weekend slate:
Mifflin County’s Night to Shine
Mifflin County’s Night to Shine is set for Friday, from 5 to 9 p.m.. at Calvary Bible Church, located at 100 Calvary Lane, Lewistown. Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 16 and older. This year, more than 500 churches and thousands around the world will come together to honor those with disabilities. What’s the cost? It’s free! This includes dresses, suits and tuxes, hair and makeup and a whole lot of fun! Whether you are a guest or volunteer, join them for the fun. Grand slam breakfast
Boy Scout Troop No. 4, of Lewistown, is hosting a grand slam breakfast on Saturday, from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Lewistown Presbyterian Church, 17 E. Third St., Lewistown. The cost is $10 for adults, $8 for ages 5 to 10 and free for ages under 5. Tickets will be available at the door.

All-you-can-eat Valentine’s dinner
Enjoy an all-you-can-eat Valentine’s Dinner on Saturday, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Fremont Social Hall, 299 Millrace Road, Mount Pleasant Mills. The meal includes chicken and waffles, mashed potatoes, vegetables, coleslaw, applesauce, dessert and drinks. The cost is $13 for adults and $6 for ages 6 to 11. Eat-in or takeout available. Fremont Fire Department.
