PA Association of School Retirees member Walter Malcolm chats with Loren and Jean Kauffman at the Feb. 5 gathering of the Mifflin County Chapter of the PASR. Kauffman, owner/operator of the Reedsville Creamery, gave a fact-filled presentation covering the beginnings of the business, its operation, present facilities and plans for the future. The Creamery currently operates outlets in Reedsville at the old Brindle’s Hardware and in Belleville at the former location of The Dog House. Plans for a third store and new milk processing facility on the site of Ron’s Fruit Market are in the works, as is a fourth location in Juniata County.
