Traffic pattern change set for week of Jan. 19
From staff reports
YEAGERTOWN — According to a press release from the Derry Township Board of Supervisors, a traffic pattern change at the intersection of Ferguson Valley Road/Valley Meadow Drive and the US Route 322 ramp intersection will begin the week of Monday, Jan. 19.
According to the release, the township made this traffic change after a study that was part of the land development process for the construction of a new Wawa convenience store.
The study found that installing a four-way stop would make the intersection safer.
The Mifflin County Regional Police Department stated in a Facebook post that new stop signs will be installed on the northbound and southbound approaches of Ferguson Valley Road at the Valley Meadow Drive and the US Route 322 ramp intersection.
Drivers are encouraged to exercise caution and “pay heed to the new traffic patterns,” according to the Derry Township release.
