Sacred Heart School to host New York-themed gala

Annual fundraiser set for Feb. 7 at Lewistown Country Club

LEWISTOWN — “Start spreadin’ the news …” A night inspired by New York City is coming to Mifflin County.

Sacred Heart of Jesus School will host its annual fundraising gala, themed “New York, New York: Under the City Lights,” on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at the Lewistown Country Club.

The evening will begin with a cocktail hour at 5 p.m., followed by dinner, drinks and dancing. Organizers say the event will offer an atmosphere of fellowship and celebration while supporting Catholic education.

The gala serves as one of the school’s most anticipated fundraisers, with proceeds benefiting academic programs, faith formation and student opportunities.

“This gala is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together in support of our school and its students,” said Ashley Henry, advancement director. “Sacred Heart of Jesus School has a long tradition of educating the whole child — mind, body and spirit — and this event helps make that mission possible.”

Tickets are on sale now, with early pricing available through Jan. 26. Tickets cost $75 through Jan. 26 and $80 through Feb. 5. Community members, alumni, parishioners and friends of the school are encouraged to attend.

The gala is open to the public, and attendees do not need to have a child enrolled at the school to participate.

Tickets may be purchased at the Sacred Heart Parish Office, 9 N. Brown St., Lewistown. For ticket information or event details, contact Henry at (717) 242-2781 or development@sacredheartschool.com, or visit sacredheartschool.com/gala.

Proceeds from the gala will directly support Sacred Heart of Jesus School and its ongoing mission.

Starting at $2.99/week.
