Hearing delayed for local man found with sexually abusive material
From staff reports
LEWISTOWN — The court date for a Lewistown man facing nearly 150 felony charges related to possession of sexually abusive material has been rescheduled, according to court documents.
Andrew McCartle II, 35, was charged in October through the Pennsylvania attorney general’s office and held on $1 million bail.
He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday. That date has been continued to 8:15 a.m. Feb. 3 at the Mifflin County Court of Common Pleas.
According to court documents, attorney general agents, assisted by the Lewistown Police Department, found the materials during a search this week at a Catherine Street home in Lewistown.
The case is being prosecuted by Deputy Attorney General Jacob Jividen of the Child Predator Section. Criminal charges, and any discussion thereof, are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
McCartle is being held in Mifflin County Correctional Facility, unable to post bail.
