THOMPSONTOWN — Around 7:16 p.m. Tuesday evening, Thompsontown Fire Co. firefighters were alerted to a report of a building fire at Treen Pallet Co. near Thompsontown.
Upon the arrival of firefighters, they found the building to have an active fire, and a short time later learned the main building of the plant was well engulfed as fire emerged from the building.
Thompsontown Deputy Chief Jeff Miller requested additional resources from at least four counties (Juniata, Perry, Mifflin, and Cumberland) to the scene of the fire and beyond to cover stations on the scene operating coverage areas.
