LEWISTOWN — The Derry Township Board of Supervisors held its annual reorganization meeting Monday evening.
Supervisors reappointed Ronald Napikoski Jr. as chairman, Donald Warntz II as vice chairman, and Timothy Searer
as solicitor.
The board also welcomed Joseph Ughetto II to its ranks.
Supervisors reappointed Roadmaster Justin Allen, Zoning Officer Chris Dobson, and Township Manager Kelly Shutes.
During their regular board meeting, supervisors approved a change order request for the new mini golf course at Kishacoquillas Park.
The change order allows SLC Excavating to perform additional excavating and backfill electrical trenching for $6,778.49.
Supervisors also approved a 2026 executive cooperative agreement with the United States Department of Agriculture Animal Plant Health Inspection Services Wildlife Services for waterfowl management in the amount of $11,523.10.
This agreement outlines how the department provides resources to help protect people, agriculture, and wildlife.
This management project addresses geese and ducks causing significant erosion along the streambanks at Kishacoquillas Park because the waterfowl slide down the embankments into the water.
Plantings were also destroyed previously because waterfowl frequently dug them up or ingested them.
Supervisors later awarded a bid to Robert Lepley as the electrical contractor for the new mini golf course at Kishacoquillas Park for $42,500.
Supervisors added that the America250PA Mifflin County kickoff event will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Jan. 29, 2026, at the Mifflin County Courthouse; reservations are required.
