Lewistown man charged with

possession of drug paraphernalia

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers filed charges against William Tolliver-Bey, 23, of Lewistown, for possession of drug paraphernalia after encountering him while on patrol on Church Lane in Lewistown at 1:12 a.m. on Dec. 12, according to a release issued on Friday. Officers heard a male yelling obscenities while walking on Church Lane, the report said, and officers found Tolliver allegedly having an argument over the phone with his girlfriend. Tolliver had an odor of alcohol and marijuana coming from him and he did not have a medical marijuana card and admitted to having a marijuana vape pen on him, the report said. Officers also located a marijuana grinder with residue and marijuana roach cigarettes, the report said, Tolliver was released and charges were filed.

Lewistown woman charged

with DUI and summary offenses

LEWISTOWN — A 40-year-old Lewistown woman is facing DUI and summary offense charges after Lewistown Police Department officers stopped her vehicle on the first block of Chestnut Street in Lewistown at 4:12 p.m. on Dec. 13, according to a release issued on Friday. Officers observed a vehicle being driven in which the registered owner had a suspended license, the report said, and the driver, Tara N. Goss had a five-year-old that was not in a booster seat as required. Goss appeared to be visibly impaired and showed several indicators of being under the influence of drugs, and she admitted to taking several impairing substances, the report said. Officers placed Goss under arrest and transported her to the hospital where she refused to provide a blood test, the report said.

Lewistown man arrested for

DUI, lodged in Mifflin County jail

LEWISTOWN — Zachariah N. Gingerich, 35, of Lewistown, was arrested

for driving under the influence of alcohol and lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown after being stopped on Marble Street in Lewistown by Lewistown Police Department officers for a registration violation at 1 a.m. on Dec. 14, according to a release issued on Friday. Upon being stopped, Gingerich refused orders to remain inside his vehicle, the report said, and officers noted that he had an odor of alcohol coming from him, his speech was slurred and his actions were lethargic. Gingerich also kept reaching into his pockets and was trying to light a cigarette when officers told him not to, the report said, and he was very hostile threatening to take his identification back, yelling obscenities and asking officers if they wanted to fight. Gingerich refused to conduct field sobriety tests and at one point was pushed away from an officer after Gingerich got into an officer’s face and attempted to touch their uniform, the report said.

Armagh Township man charged with drug, drug paraphernalia possession

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers stopped a vehicle on South Spruce Street in Lewistown for an expired registration at 9:33 p.m. on Dec. 14, according to a release issued on Friday. The driver, Nathan M. Fisher, 45, of Armagh Township, and his passenger both had suspended licenses and the vehicle was illegally parked, the report said, causing officers to tow the vehicle and, while conducting an inventory search, officers located a pipe used to smoke methamphetamine and a narcotic pill. Officers discovered that the license plate displayed on the vehicle did not belong to the vehicle, the report said, and the vehicle Fisher was driving had a suspended registration for insurance cancellation. Fisher was charged with drug and drug paraphernalia possession, police said.

Subject being cited for theft

of services for using dumpster

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers received a complaint that a subject threw trash into a dumpster at a rental property at 1:21 p.m. on Dec. 17, according to a release issued on Friday. Tenants at the property confronted the subject about the theft of services and the subject stated that they always threw their trash into the dumpster, the report said, and officers obtained a license plate for the suspect’s vehicle and are waiting to receive an estimate for the cost of the dumpster before filing citations to the offending party.
