Vehicle towed from scene of crash involving deer
MIFFLINTOWN — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown were dispatched to a vehicle crash at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, on US Highway 322 East, Walker Township.
The report states that a 2025 Subaru Forester was traveling east when a deer entered the roadway.
The driver, Zhyun Cao, 37, of Newark, Delaware, said he could not avoid the collision and collided with the deer in the travel lanes.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
The driver as well as three passengers were wearing their seatbelts and were not injured.
Two cited in domestic dispute
MILROY — Two individuals were charged with harassment with physical contact after Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a report that a domestic dispute was taking place on Monday, Dec. 8 around 6 a.m. at a home on Randall Drive, Armagh Township.
According to the report, Andrew Weaver, 24, of Milroy and Kaitlyn Treaster, 22, of Milroy, were charged through Magisterial District Judge Kent Smith’s office.
No injuries reported in Armagh Township crash
MILROY — According to a report from Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown, a 22-year-old Pittsburgh man was cited after a vehicle crash on Sunday, Dec. 14.
The report states that officers responded around 9 p.m. to a vehicle crash on Old US Highway 322, Armagh Township.
The report states that a 2009 Honda Civic was traveling eastbound on US Highway 322 at around 9 p.m. when the driver, Thuta Htun, reported that his brakes failed, causing him to lose control of the vehicle.
The Honda traveled through a right-hand curve and struck a concrete barrier.
Htun said he tried to correct his steering and over-corrected causing the vehicle to rotate 180 degrees and travel off the roadway where it overturned and rolled before coming to final rest on its passenger side facing westbound.
The driver and passenger, 19-year-old Su Yadanar Htun, were wearing their seatbelt at the time of the crash and reported no injuries. However, the vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
