Mifflin County Garden Club Christmas Decorating
‘Christmas Candy Land’ participants
1. Dawn and Jeremy Croissette: 123 E. Third St. Large nutcrackers made from window shutters are holding lollipops, and vintage candy canes flank the front porch entrance.

2. Don and Patty Henry: 24 Franklin Ave. The steps are lined with candy canes, which lead up to a gingerbread house mural, garland, candy-themed ornaments and little gingerbread people.
3. Linda Price: 206 Logan St. The home is decorated with red and white lights, lit peppermints and candy canes and a homemade ‘Candy Land’ sign on the stoop.
4. Lisa Knudson: 112 N. Walnut St. A four foot Santa face is painted on a black canvas covering the front door, while oversized mugs of hot cocoa made of painted garden pots, peppermint sticks made of pool noodles and garland filled with cellophane-wrapped paper lanterns decorate the porch.
5. Nancy Charles: 23 Chestnut St. Ext. A gingerbread wreath decorates the door, along with a ribbon-wrapped garland that is filled with more gingerbread men and other baked goods.
6. Rhoda Shafranich and Lisa McCullough: 420 W. 4th St. Painted carousel horses rest on the front stoop and the door is framed by garland, ribbon, lollipops and other candy.
7. Earl and Carol Butterworth: 20 Oakland Ave. At this home, the Grinch is stealing Willy Wonka’s Candy Land, and features candy carland, giant candy dots, lollipops, candy canes and a huge Wonka bar.
Christmas decorating in Lewistown was hosted by the Mifflin County Garden Club. There was no judging again this year. The only prizes other than a rosette are pictures on the club’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/mifflincogardenclub/.
