Hearing continued for sex assault defendant

LEWISTOWN — The preliminary hearing for a 37-year-old Lewistown man accused of committing sex acts on a 2-year-old has been rescheduled.

According to court documents, the preliminary hearing for John Wilmer Fetters will now be held at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 26 before Magisterial District Judge Craig Weston.

Fetters is facing 52 counts of aggravated indecent assault on a child and three counts of indecent assault on a person less than 13 years of age.

Police said Fetters inappropriately touched his 2-year old child.

Fetters is being held without bail in Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
