EAST WATERFORD — Juniata County fire companies were joined by several crews from surrounding counties to assist in fighting a chicken house fire in Lack Township Sunday morning.

Juniata County Emergency Services received a call at approximately 11:40 a.m. reporting the ongoing fire. The blaze consumed two chicken houses in the 3000 block of Route 75 South in Lack Township.

More than 20 fire companies from six neighboring counties were dispatched to the scene. No injuries were reported and no chickens were lost in the blaze.

Area emergency crews were called to the scene of a vehicle fire Sunday at 11:05 a.m. on Route 322 in Milroy. No injuries were reported. Pennsylvania State Police, Milroy Hose Co. No. 1, Milroy EMS and Reedsville Fire Co. responded.
