Mount Pleasant Mills man cited after vehicle crash
MIFFLINTOWN — According to Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown, a Mount Pleasant Mills man was involved in a commercial motor vehicle accident on Thursday, Oct. 23 around lunchtime. The report states that Thomas Byers, 46, was the operator of a Peterbilt 379 that was traveling north on State Route 35 when his vehicle went off the eastern shoulder of the roadway and struck a mailbox as well as an electric pole. The utility pole was snapped off and ended up on top of the trailer of the vehicle. The trailer received disabling damage as a result of the crash. Byers reported that he was not
injured and was wearing his seatbelt. He was charged for the accident.
Driver charged with possession
MIFFLINTOWN — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown conducted a traffic stop on a 2005 Hyundai Elantra on Tuesday, Oct. 28. Troopers observed the vehicle making minor traffic violations in the area of Parkside Court and Route 35 in Fermanagh Township just after 6:30 p.m. The operator of the vehicle, Samuel Frymoyer, 40, of Mifflintown, showed signs of criminal activity according to officers who decided to complete a search of the vehicle. Troopers located drugs and drug paraphernalia. The investigation will continue.
