Clubhouse to hold winter coat drive, dinner

MIDDLEBURG — The Walking Free Clubhouse: A Recovery Resource Center wants to make certain those in need have at least a warm coat and a hot meal this Thanksgiving.

That’s why the recovery clubhouse, which offers a safe environment and services for alcoholics and addicts and their families, is holding a winter coat drive and serving Thanksgiving Day dinner.

Located at 8183 Route 522 Suite 10, Middleburg, the Walking Free Clubhouse is hosting a winter coat drive from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Friday, Nov. 21.

The clubhouse hopes to spread warmth and comfort this winter by providing winter coats to anyone in need.

“If you or someone you know needs a little extra support during the cold winter months ahead, reach out to the center,” officials said in a release on social media. “And if you’d like to help, bring your new or gently used winter coats to the clubhouse.”

Coat pick up will be Thursday, Nov. 27 – Thanksgiving – and when the clubhouse is open.
