REEDSVILLE — The Brown Township Board of Supervisors announced Monday that Supervisor Mark Baker stepped down.
Baker was appointed in March to fill the seat of the late Jim Peachey following his passing in February.
The board has 30 days to fill the vacant seat to finish the term before a new supervisor is elected in November and seated in January.
Additionally, Carol Kearney-High, project coordinator for SEDA-COG informed the board that she was notified Monday that the financial system is set up regarding the money Brown Township received in an award from the state.
According to Kearney-High, Brown Township received an award letter from the state at the end of June regarding the 2024 fiscal year pavilion project at Reedsville Park. Now that the financial system is set up for this money, the township and the county can move forward requesting the environmental review for the pavilion project.
