Highly intoxicated man cited

MOUNT UNION — According to a police report, officers responded to a call regarding an intoxicated man along US Highway 522 South, Wayne Township on Thursday, Oct. 2 at around midnight. Once on scene officers observed Jason Backer, 37, of McVeytown, and he tested at a 3.11% BAC. The report states that Baker was cited and transported to the Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Lewistown man faces sex assault charges

HONEY GROVE — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown reported that a Honey Grove woman came into the Lewistown barracks on Friday, Oct. 3, around 10 p.m. to report that she was being sexually assaulted.

According to the report, Milton Dengler, 46, of Lewistown, was taken into custody and charged with three counts of sexual assault.

Dengler was arraigned and committed to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility pending his preliminary hearing.
