Man charged with generating sex abuse image waives
LEWISTOWN — A man facing 95 felony charges related to child sexual abuse material and misusing a communication facility waived his rights to a preliminary hearing in Central Court Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge Craig Weston.
Andrew McCartle, 35, was charged through Pennsylvania’s Attorney General’s Office regarding material found at his home that included files containing images produced via artificial intelligence depicting children.
McCartle will be formally arraigned before The Honorable Aaron L. Gingerich at 9 a.m. Dec. 2.
The prosecution on this case will be from the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General.
McCartle is being held in Mifflin County Correctional Facility unable to post the bail set at $1 million.
