School officials have been working on upgrading facilities in the building and one that is used the most is nearing completion: the gymnasium.

“We have had the stage almost completely redone along with accompanying production equipment upgrades,” Belleville Christian School Superintendent Nicholas Wilson said.

“We did some sound equipment improvements across the last couple years, but this was an opportunity to go further on that front and position things better,” Wilson added. “New paint, and gymnasium HVAC installation happening around the same time coming out of summer into the start of school.”

Most of the larger events and indoor gatherings at the school take place in the gymnasium as well as regular physical education classes, student-led worship, concerts and other productions.

Belleville Christian School held its Homecoming last weekend and hosted the Fall Fellowship Dinner on Saturday in the newly-renovated gym.

The new stage, which was recently constructed, means the school can hold a variety of events.

“These types of upgrades and related extensive construction would not be possible without the help of caring donors, supporters of our mission and helpful grants,” Wilson added.
