Waynesboro man arraigned on child sex assault charges

A Waynesboro man was jailed Wednesday when police said he touched two young girls inappropriately.

Connor Timothy Walker, 25, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Craig Weston on three counts of aggravated assault of a child, a first-degree felony; four counts of indecent assault of a person less than 13, a first-degree misdemeanor, and five counts of corruption of minors. Offenses dated back to March 28.

According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, officers from the Lewistown Police Department were called to a residence in Decatur Township on April 11, where Walker was accused of sexually assaulting two young girls, ages 8 and 9. At that time, it was reported that the children were no longer in danger of being victimized.

On April 13, police were called to the emergency department at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital where two children were reporting being sexually assaulted. The report states that the children were complaining of pain at their area of injury while going to the bathroom.

On May 6, forensic interviews were conducted at the Child Advocacy Center in Sunbury. During the interview, the youth stated that Walker touched them inappropriately and told them to not tell their mother.

Walker is being held in Mifflin County Correctional Facility, unable to post $250,000 bail. He is awaiting a preliminary hearing set for 9 a.m. Oct. 8 before Weston.
