The Dark Knight left an important legacy

When thinking about some of the better films in the past 20 years it’s hard to find many that top “The Dark Knight”.
First and foremost, the cast was outstanding. From Christian Bale to Michael Caine to Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman, how can any film beat that group? And of course there’s Joker himself, Heath Ledger.
This film has plenty of memorable quotes such as, “Sometimes the truth isn’t good enough, sometimes people deserve more. Sometimes people deserve to have their faith rewarded.” “Let’s put a smile on that face.” “You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.” One of my favorites is “I think you and I are destined to do this forever.”
“The Dark Knight” is true art with how much care was placed into the scenes such when Batman interrogates Joker and when Batman is able to flip the semi-truck with Joker inside.
There were a few switcheroos during the film such as when Joker had innocent people disguised as henchmen and the henchmen disguised as the innocent. He also told Batman Rachel’s location during the interrogation scene but it was actually Harvey Dent’s and vice versa.
Joker was truly horrifying in this film. His laugh, his lack of care and how he uses people as pawns during his recklessness.
When Joker says people will cast out Batman, I thought that little speech was accurate to a point. Yes, Gotham ended up going after Batman in the end, but it was because he chose to be framed for Dent’s death in order to preserve what he stood for.
Earlier in the film when Batman tries to figure out Joker, Alfred says that some men just want to watch the world burn. That line certainly fits the villain and his actions.
This drama/action movie was directed by Christopher Nolan, who has gone on to make films like, “Oppenheimer”, “Dunkirk” and “Interstellar”. “The Dark Knight” was written by David S. Goyer, Jonathan Nolan and Christopher Nolan as characters from Bob Kane played a role. Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard were composers of the film. The music of this picture was terrific throughout.
“The Dark Knight” earned awards such as Empire Award for Best Film and People’s Choice Award for Favorite Movie. Ledger received awards posthumously such as Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role and Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor.
“The Dark Knight” is an A+ movie as it is one I won’t ever forget. It had everything come together perfectly for the right storm on the big screen. Hopefully this is a movie future filmmakers will learn from in order to create better products for fans. This film has a runtime of two hours and 32 minutes and it’s rated PG-13.
