PennDOT maintenance schedule
set for week of Sept. 29
CLEARFIELD — PennDOT has announced the following schedule of maintenance activities in Mifflin and Juniata county the week of Sept. 29.
Mifflin County
Bridge maintenance and cleaning
• Route 1002 (Honey Creek Road) at a bridge spanning Dry Creek approximately three miles northeast of Reedsville in Armagh Township. Monday, Sept. 29. Flaggers in the roadway will provide traffic control during daylight hours and may deploy a pilot vehicle.
• Route 322 westbound starting approximately three miles west of the Electric Avenue exit and continuing westbound approximately 20 miles. Tuesday, Sept. 30, and Wednesday, Oct. 1. PennDOT will implement single-lane closures while this work is completed.
• Route 322 eastbound starting approximately 1.5 miles west of the Milroy exit and continuing eastbound approximately 20 miles. Thursday, Oct. 2. PennDOT will implement single-lane closures while this work is completed.
Manual patching
• Route 1002 (New Lancaster Valley Road) starting at Route 1003 (Locke Mills Road) and continuing eastbound approximately 10 miles to the Mifflin-Snyder County line in Armagh Township. Tuesday, Sept. 30. Flaggers in the roadway will provide traffic control during daylight hours and may deploy a pilot vehicle.
Pipe replacing and cleaning
• Route 1002 (Lock Mills Road) starting 140 feet east of a bridge spanning Honey Creek and continuing eastbound another 600 feet in Armagh Township. Monday, Sept. 29.
• Route 2004 (Back Maitland Road) approximately 220 feet west of Mountain View Drive in Derry Township. Wednesday, Oct. 1, through Friday, Oct. 3. Flaggers in the roadway will provide traffic control during daylight hours and may deploy a pilot vehicle.
Shoulder maintenance
• Route 22 starting approximately a mile east of McVeytown Borough and continuing eastbound approximately 150 feet in Oliver Township. Monday, September 29, and Tuesday, Sept. 30.
• Route 4007 (Jack’s Mountain Road) staring near the summit of Jack’s Mountain and continuing southbound approximately 750 feet. Wednesday, Oct. 1.
• Route 4007 (Jack’s Mountain Road) starting at Kansas Road and continuing northbound approximately 1.5 miles. Thursday, Oct. 2, and Friday, Oct. 3.
Juniata County
Bridge maintenance
and cleaning
• Route 75 at a bridge spanning a tributary of Tuscarora Creek one mile northeast of East Waterford in Tuscarora Township. Monday, September 29, through Friday, October 3.
• Route 75 at a bridge spanning Tuscarora Creek in Turbett Township. Monday, September 29, through Friday, October 3.
Crack seal and hot pour mastic
• Route 22 eastbound between the Juniata-Mifflin County line approximately four miles east of Lewistown and continuing eastbound to the Thompsontown-East Salem exit. Monday, Sept. 29, through Friday, Oct. 3. PennDOT will implement single-lane closures while this work is completed.
• Route 22 westbound starting a mile east of the Thompsontown-East Salem exit and continuing westbound to the Juniata-Mifflin County line approximately four miles west of Lewistown. Monday, Sept. 29, through Friday, Oct. 3. PennDOT will implement single-lane closures while this work is completed.
Pipe replacing and cleaning
• Route 3020 (Barton Hollow Road) approximately half a mile west of Frys Road in Tuscarora Township. Monday, Sept. 29. Flaggers in the roadway will provide traffic control during daylight hours and may deploy a pilot vehicle. When encountering a pilot vehicle with a “Pilot Car Follow Me” sign mounted on the rear and a revolving yellow light, drivers must remain behind it until it has left the roadway. Do not pass.
Side dozing
• Route 22 eastbound starting approximately a mile east of the Juniata-Mifflin County line approximately four miles east of Lewistown and continuing eastbound to the Thompsontown-East Salem exit. Tuesday, Sept. 30, through Friday, Oct. 3.
• Route 22 westbound starting approximately half a mile west of the Thompsontown-East Salem exit and continuing westbound to the Juniata-Mifflin County line approximately four miles west of Lewistown. Tuesday, Sept. 30, through Friday, Oct. 3. PennDOT will implement single-lane closures while this work is completed.
