MIFFLINTOWN — Congressman John Joyce (R-PA) announced that he will be seeking re-election to represent the 13th Congressional District of Pennsylvania.

“Working alongside President Donald J. Trump, Congressional Republicans are making critical progress on implementing policies that put our citizens first… an America First Agenda. I am excited to continue that work and I am proud to have the President’s support for re-election. We are putting our nation on a trajectory that will allow all Americans to succeed in a more prosperous, affordable, safe and secure nation,” Joyce said in a news release. “From making middle-class tax cuts permanent, providing additional funding and tools to secure our nation’s borders from the flood of illegal immigrants and deadly drugs, streamlining the size and cost of government, reducing inflation, and reigniting domestic energy production. While we have already accomplished a great deal, we know that we have much more work to do, and that is why I’m running for re-election as your common sense, conservative Republican voice in Pennsylvania’s 13th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.”

If elected, Joyce said he will continue to focus his work on issues that matter most within his district such as ensuring access to affordable, quality healthcare; bringing reliable high-speed internet to all communities; and continuing to lower the costs of goods and energy for Pennsylvania families.

“As a lifelong resident of this community, I practiced medicine and served constituents in all twelve counties of Pennsylvania’s 13th Congressional District. My wife, Alice, and I raised our family in the district, and I pledge to continue to faithfully represent each and every constituent that I am elected and honored to serve.”

Earlier this year, President Donald Trump announced his endorsement of Joyce’s campaign for re-election.
