Woman faces charges for child endangerment
Stahl out on $25K bail
From staff reports
YEAGERTOWN — A 34-year-old woman was jailed after police said she allowed her significant other contact with her children and other youth, despite sexual allegations against him.
Brittany Marie Stahl, of Yeagertown, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Kent Smith on two counts of child endangerment, both third degree felonies, dating back to July 2017.
According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, Mifflin County Regional Police received an incident report involving a sexual allegation against Eric Woodward by a 15 year old.
The report states that Mifflin County Children and Youth Services implemented a safety plan with Stahl, the teen’s mother, as a result of the disclosures, which prohibits Stahl from having any of her children around Woodward.
The report states that in 2017, Stahl still allowed Woodward to again have contact with her children. Police said Stahl was present to witness inappropriate contact with a child by Woodward. The report says the defendant was a passenger in the front seat of a vehicle during the incident. When confronted, police said Stahl initially denied being aware of the situation, but said Woodward did have children sitting on his lap and his hand was on the girls’ legs so they wouldn’t fall off.
When questioned by Mifflin County Children and Youth Services, police said Stahl wouldn’t let the child speak up and blocked the child’s path when they tried to follow Children and Youth out of the house.
In 2018, Stahl contacted Mifflin County Communications stating that children were being sexually assaulted by Woodward. Following an interview with Children and Youth Services, Stahl provided a written statement, saying that Woodward threatened her, stating he would “take (Stahl) down with him, then he said that he will kill all his enemies, including (Stahl’s) family,” if his name were to get out “in a bad way.”
In 2019, police said a friend of Stahl’s child disclosed inappropriate sexual contact from Woodward.
In July 2025, police were advised that a neighbor of Woodward’s provided a video to Children and Youth from outside surveillance cameras of Woodward interacting with Stahl’s children, despite the safety plan put in place by Children and Youth..
Stahl was held on $25,000 bail, which was posted on July 16. She is awaiting a preliminary hearing set for 10 a.m. Aug. 25.
