First Bakers UMC to host Bible study

Little Valley Presbyterian Church events

LEWISTOWN — The Little Valley Presbyterian Church, 1392 Vira Road, Lewistown, will celebrate its 235th anniversary at a special service on Aug. 17 at 11 a.m. The congregation had its beginnings in the homes and barns in Dry Valley and Little Valley in 1790. The services were led by a circuit preacher. It continues today at 1392 Vira Rd., Lewistown, with services led by Rev. Graham Fowler. Everyone is invited to join in the celebration.

Little Valley Presbyterian is hosting a Children’s Sunday on Aug. 24 at 11 a.m. The worship service will emphasize the importance of children and the Blessing of the Backpacks will also occur on that day.
