Police investigate animal cruelty
PORT ROYAL — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown are investigating an animal cruelty report involving a cream colored pony belonging to Lori Moist, of Lewistown.
Moist reported that her pony was harmed Tuesday at her home on Clover Lane.
Pittsburgh man cited for DUI
MIFFLINTOWN — Anthony Ruffin Jackson, 25, of Pittsburgh, was charged with driving under the influence on Wednesday, July 30, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown.
Charges were filed after police received a call around 8 a.m. regarding an unresponsive male in a black 2013 Nissan Altima parked at the Sheetz on Route 35 North, Fermanagh Township.
DUI charges filed against Lewistown woman
LEWISTOWN — A 46-year-old woman was found unresponsive in her vehicle on Sunday, Aug. 10, after Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown received a call around noon regarding the female. The report states that officers located Misty Pierce, of Lewistown, on the first block of Terrace Blvd. in a 2017 Hyundai. The officer charged Pierce with driving under the influence.
