Bratton Township theft under investigation

McVEYTOWN — On Monday, Aug. 8, officers received a call at around 10 a.m. stating that a theft had taken place at a residence on Shanks Run Road, Bratton Township. Police are investigating the incident.

No charges filed in vehicle accident

MIFFLINTOWN — Officers responded to a vehicle crash on Thursday, Aug. 14, at around 8:30 p.m. when police said the driver of a 2023 Kenworth attempted to back the vehicle onto state Route 35 from 9th Street, striking the 9th Street road sign.

According to the report, the driver, Tran Johnson, 25, of Fall River, was not charged in this accident.

Unnamed Harrisburg man cited with DUI

MIFFLINTOWN — Pending a blood test, charges will be filed against a 31-year-old Harrisburg man. On Saturday, Aug. 2, officers received a request to perform a welfare check on a male slumped over in his 2024 Subaru Crosstrek in the area of Route 75 North.

Upon arrival, officers performed an investigation, which led to a bystander noting signs of impairment while observing the driver arrive at the location.

Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown arrested the individual for driving under the influence.
