Police investigate home burglary
MIFFLINTOWN — On Thursday, July 4, officers from Pennsylvania State Police responded to a burglary at a residence on William Penn Highway at around 1:30 p.m.
The report states that an unnamed 63-year-old woman and 61-year-old Mifflintown man reported that a three-case hunting knife set, valued at $50, and a jewelry box with $3,000 in gold, silver and diamond jewelry was stolen.
Man spotted driving erratically, cited
MCVEYTOWN — On Saturday, July 27, at around 2 a.m. officers of Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown noticed a red 2005 GMC Sierra making several traffic violations on the 100 block of Big Greenbriar Road, Wayne Township.
The report states that the driver of the vehicle, a 31-year-old McVeytown man was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence. His charges are pending a blood test.
Two cited with disorderly conduct
MIFFLINTOWN — According to a report, on Monday, two males were reported to police for yelling and fighting in the roadway of Bridge Street at around 1 p.m.
Officers of Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown located a 24-year-old and 37-year-old, both of Mifflintown, and cited them for disorderly conduct.
Millerstown resident cited for animal cruelty
MILLERSTOWN — An unnamed 60-year-old Millerstown man was charged with cruelty to animals on Friday, June 28, according to a report by Pennsylvania State Police.
Officers responded to a residence on Dressler Ridge Road at around 10:30 a.m. where it was confirmed neglect was taking place. The man was charged accordingly.
