Man who overturned vehicle cited for DUI

MIDDLEBURG — According to a report issued by Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove, officers responded to the scene of 2991 Paxtonville Road, Franklin Township, for a vehicle crash on Tuesday, July 29.

Around 8:30 p.m. officers were on scene with the driver of the 2002 Ford Explorer that was traveling west on Paxtonville Road when the driver reported seeing a deer on the roadway and in an attempt to avoid the deer, 66-year-old Larry Webb, of Middleburg, struck a utility pole before continuing another 10 feet and overturning his vehicle.

The vehicle came to final rest on its passenger side. Webb was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken for a chemical blood test.

Multiple misdemeanors and summary charges were filed through the District Court.

No injuries reported in Middleburg crash

MIDDLEBURG — Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident on Tuesday, July 29, around 11:30 a.m.

The report states that a 2010 Chrysler Sebring was traveling west on Paxtonville Road with a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee following behind it.

Police said the driver of the Sebring, James Barber, 18, of Richfield, lost control after utilizing its emergency brake, causing his vehicle to fishtail.

The report says Barber proceeded to make a right-hand turn onto Paxton Street in an attempt to gain control of his vehicle.

Barber made a U-Turn, exiting Paxton Street, making a left turn back onto Paxtonville Road, traveling eastbound while the Jeep Grand Cherokee was still traveling westbound on Paxtonville Road.

Barber came into the path of the Jeep. The Sebring’s front bumper connected with the passenger side of the Jeep. Both vehicles came to a final stop along the roadway.

No injuries were reported.

Port Trevorton man cited with DUI

BEAVER SPRINGS — On Monday, July 14, officers received a report about an erratic driver around 6:45 p.m. on Route 35, Penn Township.

The report states that the driver was located operating a 2018 Ford Escape.

John Brubaker, 69, of Port Trevorton, was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was charged accordingly.
