PFA violation in Juniata Terrace

LEWISTOWN — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown are investigating a possible violation of a Protection From Abuse violation involving an unidentified 32-year-old male from Lewistown at 7:58 p.m. on July 11, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Friday. The alleged incident took place on Terrace Boulevard in Juniata Terrace, the report said.

Teen is victim of theft as air pods stolen

LEWISTOWN — An unidentified 19-year-old female, of Lewistown, was the victim of a theft as her Apple Air Pods, valued at $250, were stolen around 1:05 p.m. on July 6, according to a Public Information Release Report issued by the Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown on Friday. The alleged theft took place on South Main Street in Armagh Township, the report said. Tracking of the air pods took police to a group of houses, but the devices were not found, the report said.

Man cited for harassment

LEWISTOWN — Trevino E.L. Rogers, 53, of Lewistown, was cited for harassment by Lewistown Police Department officers after allegedly striking another man in the face during a verbal argument at 5:04 a.m. on Aug. 1 at the Nittany MinitMart, located at 403 E Walnut St., Lewistown, according to a release issued on Friday.

Man charged with making terroristic threats, simple assault

LEWISTOWN — A 19-year-old Lewistown man is being charged with making terroristic threats and simple assault by physical menace by Lewistown Police Department officers after a domestic dispute on the 100 block of Rosewood Avenue in Lewistown on Aug. 2, according to a release issued on Friday. At 4:27 p.m., officers were dispatched to this address and thought they had resolved the conflict, the report said. At 6:54 p.m., officers returned after one individual alleged they were threatened with a firearm during an ensuing dispute, the report said. The alleged victim was trying to gather items and leave when Miles Jamaal Bailey threw a clothes basket at them then produced a handgun from a night stand and cocked it, the report said. Bailey allegedly threatened to shoot the victim and her friend if they did not leave immediately, the report said, and Bailey reportedly pulled back on the slide again and a bullet ejected from the firearm. Bailey began fighting with the victim’s friend and Bailey threw the victim’s belongings out of a window, the report said, and the victim began recording during this incident due to a fear for her safety and officers reviewed the video. The report said officers were able to clearly hear a gun’s slide being pulled back and released during the course of an argument, and they obtained a search warrant which is how they located magazines for the type and make of gun described by the victim. Officers did not locate a firearm, the report said, and Bailey stated he previously had a gun but got rid of it prior to this date. During the search, officers located drug paraphernalia used to smoke marijuana, the report said.

Man charged with receiving stolen

firearm, theft and possession

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers were dispatched to Oak Street in Lewistown at 11:16 a.m. on Aug. 3 for a disturbance involving firearms, according to a release issued on Friday. The caller reported a group of males, with one of the suspects possessing a firearm tucked in his waistband which was brandished to others, left on foot, the report said. Officers responded to the area and located the subjects on Church Lane near South Pine Street in Lewistown, the report said, and officers learned Thomas J. Clinger-Keiser Jr., 21, of Lewistown, had tossed a backpack to the ground. Clinger-Keiser was not obeying officers and was reaching for the bag when officers conducted a pat-down on him, the report said, and Clinger-Keiser said the bag contained marijuana. Officers also observed a firearm inside the bag, the report said, and Clinger-Keiser was secured in handcuffs. He told officers he didn’t have a concealed carry permit and he stole the gun from a grandparent, the report said. Officers cleared the handgun and also located scales and a large amount of cocaine inside the bag, the report said, and Clinger-Keiser also possessed controlled prescription medications, marijuana, and marijuana concentrate inside the bag. When following up, the caller told officers Clinger-Keiser was the one who reportedly brandished the firearm and said “Let’s have a shootout,” the report said, and officers confirmed with Clinger-Keiser’s grandparents that he took the firearm without their permission. Clinger-Keiser was charged with receiving a stolen firearm, theft of a firearm, firearms not to be carried without a license, possession with the intent to distribute, possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia, the report said.

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers responded to the 200 block of North Grand Street in Lewistown at 11:02 p.m. on Aug. 3 for a report of a domestic assault that occurred nearby on McClintock Avenue, according to a release issued on Friday. Officers spoke with a female who reported that Veryl Leo Woy III, 56, of Lewistown, allegedly assaulted her at her residence, the report said, and the victim had a bloody nose and a cut on her lip. It was reported that Woy was drinking alcohol during a small social gathering when Woy became upset how someone was talking to the victim, the report said, and Woy punched the victim three times in the face and fled the residence before officers arrived, the report said, and officers searched the area for Woy without finding him. At 12:19 p.m. on Aug. 4, the Woy was observed walking on the 100 block of South Main Street by the department narcotics investigator, the report said. Woy had a bench warrant for failure to appear regarding an unrelated incident the report said, and uniformed officers located him inside Burger King. Woy was arrested, the report said, and during a search incident to arrest, Woy was found to possess marijuana and a black rubber marijuana smoking device which he could not legally possess. Woy was lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown and he was charged with simple assault-domestic related in regards to the domestic assault from the night prior. Separate charges were filed to Woy for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a small amount of marijuana, the report said.

Man arrested for warrants, charged

with flight and possession

LEWISTOWN — Derek L. Guthridge, 35, of Lewistown, was arrested and lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown for warrants and charged with flight to avoid apprehension, trial or punishment and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Friday. At 4:04 p.m. on Aug. 4, a department narcotics investigator observed Guthridge, who had two misdemeanor arrest warrants, standing on a standing on a second-floor balcony at 517 S. Main St., Lewistown, and officers responded and eventually found Guthridge inside and hiding behind a cabinet attempting to conceal himself, the report said. Officers also found a glass crack pipe where Guthridge was hiding and he had a clear container in his pocket at the time of his arrest that contained drug residue, the report said.

Police charge three after incident

LEWISTOWN — Three area residents received various charges from Lewistown Police Department officers after an incident on the 200 block of Shaw Avenue at 8:12 a.m. on Aug. 6, according to a release issued on Friday. Dwight Mitchell, 47, of Derry Township, arrived at a residence to pick up a male when Julie Stuckley, 47, of Lewistown, reportedly spit upon Mitchell, the report said, and officers reviewed video of Mitchell pushing Stuckley down and punching her twice in the face in retaliation. Officers went to a residence on the first block of Logan Street where Mitchell and others provided officers with a statement about what occurred, the report said. While there, Stuckley and Annamae C. Ditzler, 19, of Lewistown, arrived, the report said, and Ditzler was acting hostile towards the other party and grabbed items from the residence and left in a vehicle driven by Stuckley. While doing so, Ditzler was yelling out of the vehicle’s window, the report said, Mitchell and Stuckley were charged for harassment and Ditzler was charged with disorderly conduct.

Man charged with strangulation,

simple assault and terroristic threats

LEWISTOWN – An unidentified juvenile called 911 at 10:01 p.m. on Aug. 6 to report a domestic assault on the first block of Ridge Road in Lewistown, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Friday. Officers responded and observed injuries on a resident, who alleged Travis D. Durham, 46, of Lewistown, choked the victim during an argument, the report said, reportedly telling them that if the victim left him, they would be doing so without any teeth. Officers had contact with Durham at the residence and he admitted to being in an argument but refused to provide any statements about what occurred, the report said, and was taken into custody and lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown. Durham was charged with strangulation, simple assault and terroristic threats, the report said.
