Information on bad checks sought

MIFFLINTOWN — According to a report issued by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown, officers are investigating a case involving bad checks being used at the Pallet Grocery Outlet.

The incident took place on Tuesday, Jan. 1, around noon.

Lewistown woman cited for DUI

PORT ROYAL — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a two-vehicle crash on Monday, June 23, around 11:30 a.m.

According to the report, the crash took place on Route 75 South. Upon arrival, officers determined one driver was under the influence.

Charges were filed against a 43-year-old Lewistown woman.

No injuries sustained in 2-vehicle crash

McALISTERVILLE — On Tuesday, Aug. 5, around 12:45 p.m. officers of Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Main Street.

According to the report a 2014 GMC Sierra and a 2011 Mercedes Benz were traveling north on Main street when the Mercedes Benze stopped for traffic the operator of the GMC failed to slow down and impacted with the rear of the Benz.

The driver of the GMC was charged for this incident through Magisterial District Judge Tracy Powell’s office.

The Sierra received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. The Benz received significant damage but was driven from the scene. Both drivers and passengers were wearing their seatbelt and reported no injuries.
