Minor injury sustained in Snyder Co. crash

MOUNT PLEASANT MILLS — Two Beavertown residents were involved in a motor vehicle accident on July 30, at approximately 4:51 p.m. on Route 104 in Perry Twp.

Thomas Weller, of Mount Pleasant Mills , was charged with “following too closely,” when not paying attention to the roadway, Weller rear-ended Driver Cavid Rice and passenger Cassidy Motter, both of Beavertown.

After being struck, Rice’s vehicle was pushed forward, causing Weller’s vehicle to strike a third driver, Joelle Hoffman, of Mount Pleasant Mills.

Weller was determined to have no injuries and refused EMS transport. Rice was also determined to have no injuries and was not transported by EMS, along with Hoffman.

Passenger Cassidy Motter was suspected to have minor injury and was transported by Evangelical Regional Mobile Medical Services, to receive further evaluation at the hospital.

All involved were wearing seatbelts, and Weller and Rice’s vehicles both required towing assistance following the accident.
