LEWISTOWN — A 22-year old man is being held on $100,000 bail on statutory sex assault charges.

Gideon Darren Dickenson, of Lewistown, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Craig Weston on two counts of statutory sexual assault and two counts of sexual assault, all second-degree felonies.

According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, police were called to respond to a report of rape to a minor at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital on June 6.

The report states that Dickson asked the minor to perform sex acts on him on multiple occasions. The report says that Dicknson threatened her with his self-harm if the minor did not comply with his sexual demands. The report says Dickinson bit her and verbally chided the minor and forced them to have intercouse.

Dickinson was picked up on June 12. During a police interview, he initially denied having any type of relationship with the minor, then stated that the minor would make sexual advances on him.

Dickinson later admitted to having intercourse with the minor, but stated that they were the aggressor.

Dickinson is being held in Mifflin County Correctional Facility on $100,000 bail. He is awaiting a preliminary hearing set for 9 a.m. Aug 13.
